Welcome Back
I hope that everyone had a safe, enjoyable Spring Break. As we return to school, our students will be tackling an entire new set of music for the upcoming May performances.
For our students, please use the resources we have made available for you:
The month of May is generally a very busy one on campus, so please take the time now, early in the cycle, to dig out a number of the notes and rhythms present in the new concert selections. As a reminder, our annual spring concert will be held on Thursday, May 22, and the cluster concert featuring all string players in Mira Mesa will he held on May 19.
Solo & Ensemble Concert
Our first ever Solo & Ensemble concert will be held on April 10th. This concert will feature individual students and small chamber ensembles, with all music having been selected and prepared by our students. The concert beings at 6:30 PM and admission is free. Light concessions will be available.

2012-2013 Symphony Orchestra
Picture Day
All three orchestra ensembles (Debut, Concert, and Symphony) will be taking pictures during class on Friday, April 11. Students should bring their concert attire to school in the morning. Yes, students may store their concert attire in the orchestra room.
Please make sure to bring appropriate attire to school on Friday, as this is the one day we will be taking pictures (which are also being taken for yearbook purposes).

Break of Reality | May 2
The Break of Reality concert is quickly approaching. Our Symphony students should be practicing two selections for the event, as they will have the incredible opportunity to perform on stage with this incredible ensemble.
As a reminder, in lie of charging for admission, the musicians from Break of Reality are requesting that those attending the concert make a donation to the orchestra program here at Mira Mesa High School.
