​Concert Orchestra

Concert Orchestra is Mira Mesa High School's intermediate orchestra. This ensemble is designed for students with at least one, but preferably two or more, years of previous playing experience. Occasionally full symphonic works will be performed in collaboration with wind and percussion students, or larger string orchestra works performed alongside our Symphony Orchestra students . Sectionals, rehearsals (including weekly Tuesday afternoon rehearsals from 4:30 - 6:30 pm), festivals, performances, and other musical opportunities will occur outside the academic day and are a significant component of this course experience.

Prerequisite: At least one year previous playing experience (two or more are preferable).

  • Open to students in grades 9 - 12
