First, thank you to all the parents who visited during last week's Open House. I am very much looking forward to working with our students, and am excited to also be working with the Mira Mesa High School Community.

Auditions - Symphony Orchestra students have seating auditions this week. This is your chance to show what you know.

Auditions - Symphony Orchestra students have seating auditions this week. This is your chance to show what you know.
Monday Rehearsal - Regular Monday rehearsals continue for Symphony Orchestra students. For those involved in athletics during this period, please see the Practice Assignment and complete as necessary.
Instrumental Acquisitions - We at Mira Mesa High are working diligently outfitting our students. Only two celli remain to be acquired. Thank you for your patience. Our orchestra program has quickly outgrown its inventory!
Finally, the Hausmann Quartet (pictured above) will be visiting Mira Mesa High School on Friday during second period. The quartet has performed at notable events including the Aspen Music Festival, Music @ Menlo, and most recently (as in, they are flying back this week), the Beijing International Music Competition, . Their performance is being provided courtesy of a partnership we have established with the La Jolla Music Society.
