A Scattered Update
Our Weekly Update this week is all over the place, so thank you for reading through and making sense of all our moving parts!
Thank You
First, many thanks to the members of the Hausmann String Quartet for coming by last week to visit our intermediate orchestra. It is always a pleasure hosting great musicians here at Mira Mesa, and we are fortunate so many choose to share their time and talents with us here on Reagan Road.

Our next fundraising opportunity will kick off this week, so stay tuned! (Hint: it's delicious and made locally).

Travis Maril - Violist, Professor, & Teacher
In the next week or so, San Diego State University Viola Professor and Coordinator of the String Division within the School of Music, Mr. Travis Maril, will be out to Mira Mesa to spend a morning with our musicians.
We are looking to (hopefully) coordinate a visit that will include all three orchestra classes. Mr. Maril is a tremendous teacher (and a fine musician, obviously), and I am looking forward to having him join us here at school again for a visit.
To make the best use of his time, be as prepared as possible! Practice your music, keep developing your right hand (bow) skills, and keep working to improve your own tone quality.
To assist you in your practice, make use of the resources you have available: metronomeonline.com, intonation drones, tuners, recordings from our class websites, etc.
