Seven Rehearsals
Seven school day rehearsals are all that remain between today and our concert. Every minute of every rehearsal will be significant this week as we look to prepare ourselves as best as we can, especially coming off the Thanksgiving break.
While I hope that everyone thoroughly enjoyed their 9-day break, I hope equally as much that we are all ready to come back to school on Monday, ready to work hard all the way through the concert and the upcoming winter break. We have much to work on this week (and thereafter), and I for one am ready to get after it.

Here is the schedule for this week, December 2-6.
- String Coaching - Regular string coaching during periods two and three on Monday, December 2nd.
- Leadership Meeting - Orchestra leaders should meet in room 405 during lunch on Monday.
- Monday Rehearsal - Monday rehearsal will again run from 4:30-6:30 on Monday. However, this week (and next week), we will also be joined by our Madrigals Choir for a portion of the rehearsal in order to prepare the Mozart and the Vivaldi adequately. Please bring your 'A-Game' to these two critical rehearsals!
- Orchestra Clinic - Friend of the program, Mr. Horimoto, will be on campus Thursday morning to clinic our orchestra. As always, he will be expecting a high level of concentration and ensemble proficiency.
- Symphony Pass Offs - Excerpt pass offs for our Symphony Strings are due this Friday, December 6th.
Concert Tickets
As of today, concert tickets are available online. Tickets will also be available later this week at our school box office. As has been consistent and unchanged for a number of years now, tickets are $7 and benefit our orchestra program here at Mira Mesa High School.
In order to make the concert experience more enjoyable (and to help those who wish to attend with families/groups), individuals attending the concert will once again have the opportunity to select their own seats. Reserve your seats early in order to secure the best seats in the house.
See you Tuesday the 10th!
