All students will begin to receive instruments this week in class if they have not yet been assigned an instrument for the year. Due to the higher enrollment, a number of Orchestra 1-2 students (Concert Orchestra) will be sharing instruments between the two sections. Please note that our inventory is quite limited in the cello/viola area. We are working to acquire instruments as quickly as possible.

- Monday rehearsals begin this Monday. They will run from 4-6pm. See you there. ;)
- Cherrydale fundraising orders (with funds) are due this Friday, September 23rd. This is our first opportunity to make some headway into covering any number of expenses (i.e. acquiring instruments, strings, bows, music, coaching, method books, transportation, instrument repair, etc). Selling even a few items makes a difference!
- Make sure to sign up for an audition for next week. Audition sign ups have been posted in Room 405 for your convenience.
- If you need copies of scales, please feel free to print some out for your convenience. One Octave scales are here, and two octave scales are here.
- Finally, there are a number of honor orchestras this year. If anyone is interested, the first opportunity comes December 2-3 in Stockton, CA. That application is due by October 7th
