Festival Concert
Thank you to everyone who attended out Festival Concerts last week. I hope you enjoyed hearing from our orchestra students, but from our talented band students as well. The concert program listing the compositions performed has been attached below.

SCSBOA Festival
Next, our students will be participating in a Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association festival this Tuesday, March 17th. Our String and Concert Orchestras will both be performing. The timeline and lineup for the festival has been attached.
Of note, Mira Mesa High School is the only school in Southern California (San Diego County, specifically) that is hosting an orchestra-only festival day. I hope that the students, directors, and schools involved enjoy their experience so that we may provide similar events in the future.

SDSUSD Honor Orchestra Auditions
I am always pleased to have students audition for the San Diego Unified School District Honor Orchestra. As has been the case in recent years, Mira Mesa High School will be well represented. I want to commend all students who took the time to prepare and had the courage to audition. Congratulations!
* More on this event later - but there's just too much to get through this week! *
