Honor Orchestra
Rehearsals for the San Diego Unified School District Honor Orchestra will continue this week, culminating in the concert to be held on Sunday afternoon (March 16th).
Rehearsal Schedule
The concert will be held on Sunday, March 16th, at 3:00 PM. The concert will take place at the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Music Center, formerly known as Copley Symphony Hall. Admission to the concert is free - so feel free to come on by and enjoy a great concert is a terrific venue.

- Thursday, March 13th - 3:30-5:00 (full orchestra) and 6:00-9:00 (strings only)

Festivals & Concerts
Our orchestra students will be performing a number of times this month. Feel free to join us at any of the events listed below.
If you would like to volunteer to chaperone any of these events, or assist in selling concessions at the festival concert on March 19th, please email Mr. Mulvaney. We are stronger with your support.

- Wednesday, March 19th - Festival Concert here at Mira Mesa. Join our Concert Orchestra, String Orchestra, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble for a preview of the music to be performed at upcoming festivals. Admission to the concert is $5 and benefits our band and orchestra programs (general admission).
- Thursday, March 20th - Our String Orchestra (Symphony) will travel to Chula Vista High School to participate in the California Music Educator's Association Band & Orchestra Festival. Admission to the festival is free and we would love to have some supporters in the audience. A timeline has been included below.
- Thursday, March 27th - Both our Concert and Symphony Orchestra students will travel to Ramona High School to participate in the Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association's Music Festival. Again, admission is free and we would welcome any supporters.

Break of Reality | Looking Ahead
The incredibly talented cello rock quartet, Break of Reality, will be visiting Mira Mesa High School for a one-night only performance and benefit concert!
Members from the ensemble will be on campus on Friday, May 2nd, and will perform a FREE concert that evening here at Mira Mesa High School.

St. Petersburg Philharmonic
Thanks again to the La Jolla Music Society for providing our students tickets to the recent St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra concert.
The concert was fabulous and the guest soloist was excellent.
