Thank You
Often, there are just too many items to discuss. Right now, I would just like to say thank you.
At any rate, thank you to everyone who helped make our rehearsal possible, and to those who have made a commitment to support music education here at Mira Mesa.

- Thank you to our students for coming in this past Friday during Rehearse-a-Thon and working not only diligently, but together with many other new friends.
- Thank you to Ms. Paules, Ms. McCoy, and Ms. Marsh for helping serve and feed the over 80 students who attended the event.
- Thank you to Ms. Taylor, Ms. Keller, Ms. Kaufman, Mrs. Mulvaney (Mr. M's mom), 'Friend', Anonymous, The DonorsChoose.org Board of Directors, and the Friends and Family Matching Program for supporting our "String it Up!" project. We were able to quickly fund fund our modest project, which supplied the materials pictured at left (photo courtesy of Ms. Joves).
At any rate, thank you to everyone who helped make our rehearsal possible, and to those who have made a commitment to support music education here at Mira Mesa.

New Students, New Stuff
New Opportunities
We added a brand new section of Debut Strings last week (35 students). This will put a further strain on our inventory and storage capacity, but we will find solutions to each of these challenges (we were even without a classroom space right up until the day before). I am hopeful the Mira Mesa High School Foundation will help fund some storage racks for our growing enrollment.
Regardless of what circuitous route our students took in finding us, we have worked quickly to find some more instruments for them to play/learn. Our new set of instrument loans is pictured at the left. Thank you to the Community Council for Music in the Schools, and Ms. Haney in particular, for making this possible.
