Masterclass Sessions Booked!
In addition to offering string coaching with some of the region's best musicians, we also offer a unique masterclass to start each morning of our string camp.
We have an incredible lineup of presenters booked for the week. As a preview of what is to come, here are the sessions that will be offered at our camp!

We have an incredible lineup of presenters booked for the week. As a preview of what is to come, here are the sessions that will be offered at our camp!
- Open Session with Q&A - A shared morning with Sameer Patel, the newly appointed Assistant Conductor of the San Diego Symphony. Sameer holds degrees from the University of Michigan. Read more about Sameer and his activities via his website.
- Audition Preparation - Presented by P.J. Cinque, the newest member of the San Diego Symphony. He holds both a B.M. and a M.M. from The Juilliard School.
- Chamber Music - Presented by Isaac Allen (violin) and Alex Greenbaum (cello) of the Hausmann Quartet. The Hausmann Quartet is the Artist-in-Residence at San Diego State University. Isaac holds a Master’s Degree from Kent State University, a Bachelor’s Degree from the Longy School of Music, and an Artist Diploma from San Diego State University. Alex holds a Master’s Degree from Queens College and a Bachelor’s Degree from the Eastman School of Music.
- Bow Articulation Variety - Presented by Isaac Allen of San Diego State University and the Hausmann Quartet.
- Percussion Techniques - Presented by Greg Cohen, Principal Percussionist of the San Diego Symphony; Lecturer of Percussion at the San Diego State University School of Music and Dance, and Zildjian Orchestral Artist. Mr. Cohen earned his Master’s Degree (M.M.) from the New England Conservatory and his Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University (B.M.).
- Orchestral Brass - Presented by San Diego Symphony Trumpet Ray Nowak. Ray Nowak is also an adjunct trumpet teacher at Long Beach City College and Southwestern College. He holds degrees from and the University of California at Los Angeles (M.M.) and the California State University at Long Beach (B.A.).
