Summer break is officially upon us! Once everyone has a minute to sit down and relax, you might find yourself looking for something to do. Take a moment and consider how you might get more involved in music (or any other activity, for that matter). There are great opportunities for young musicians here in San Diego.

All About Music, San Diego
East County Youth Symphony
I have had students participate in all of the above organizations (with the exception of the East County Youth Symphony), and each one of them has found the experience valuable and worthwhile. In addition, I love attending concerts and watching you all as you play fantastic music!

If you want to make a serious, but valuable, investment in your music education (and progress), consider taking private lessons. Private lessons are the quickest way to develop your individual skills and musicianship. The Hammond Ashley Shop here in Mira Mesa has a very nice list of teachers available.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone for a great year. I am really proud of our accomplishments, and know that great things are in store for the Mira Mesa Orchestras in the future.
Have a great summer!
