Honor Orchestra Auditions
Auditions for the 2016 San Diego Unified School District Honor Orchestra will be held on Tuesday, February 9th at Junipero Serra High School. I am proud of every student who chooses to perform an audition and feel that everyone can learn from the experience. Best wishes to everyone as you finish your preparations - play well and practice intelligently!

Schedule Adjustments
In order to avoid conflicts in scheduling between our Concert Orchestra and the Honor Orchestra, our rehearsals on February 23rd, March 1st, and March 8th have each been moved to Wednesday (February 24th, March 2nd, and March 9th).

- Jory Herman, Bass Recital - Jory Herman will be presenting a bass recital at the Scripps Ranch library on Sunday, February 21st at 2:30. The program will include works by Astor Piazzolla, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and more. Stay up to date with Mr. Herman by checking out his show calendar.
- Hausmann Quartet, Haydn Voyages: Music at the Maritime - Isaac Allen and his fellow members of the Hausmann Quartet are presenting an exciting series of concerts, titled Haydn Voyages. This concert series will be presented aboard the Berkeley, a ferryboat from 1898. Read more about this series, which will pair works of Haydn with modern compositions, here on the Hausmann Quartet website. See Mr. Mulvaney for special pricing available to Mira Mesa musicians.
- Quartet Nouveau - Annabelle Terbetski, Batya MacAdam-Somer, and the the other members of the Hausmann Quartet will present an afternoon of chamber music, featuring works by Ravel, Haydn, and Schubert. The concert is at 2:00 PM and will be held at the Hope United Methodist Church in Rancho Bernardo.
