Congratulations to all of our musicians who took part in the 2016 Honor Concert at the Jacobs Music Center! As always, Mira Mesa was very well represented, and I am thrilled so many of our students were in these ensembles, working with both Mr. Patel and Mr. Sperling. Bravo to all!

Pre-Festival Concert
Each year, our Mira Mesa Bands & Orchestras share a Pre-Festival Concert. Tomorrow's concerts (Wednesday, March 16th) will be held at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM respectively. The 5:30 PM concert will feature our Concert Orchestra, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. The 7:30 PM concert will include our String Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.
Tickets to each concert are $5 and support the band and orchestra programs here at Mira Mesa High School. I invite all to attend to see what we have been working on in class each day (in addition to honor concerts, musicals, etc).

SCSBOA & CMEA Festivals
We have two festival performances in the next few days. On Saturday, our musicians will be performing an the SCSBOA festival which will be held here at Mira Mesa. On Tuesday, our orchestras will be performing in a CMEA festival that will be held at Challenger Middle School.

Montreal Symphony Orchestra
Lastly, we have a limited number of tickets to see the Montreal Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, March 23rd. In addition to providing tickets to the concert, the La Jolla Music Society has invited us to the rehearsal immediately prior to the performance. This will be insightful as we will watch the musicians as they put the final touches on the repertoire for the evening.
