Donation Drive
Our Fall Donation Drive is off to a strong start. We have been fortunate to receive over $3,000 in donations to date. Thank you to those families who have already made a donation online! Next, we have a unique opportunity to take advantage of an incredibly generous offer which has the potential to significantly impact our students.
A generous donor within our community is willing to match the next $3,000 in donations dollar-for-dollar! Make a charitable donation today and your support will have double the impact!
If we are able to maximize the benefit from our community donor, we will be able to meet or exceed our $10,000 campaign goal!

Orchestra Attire
By request, we will be placing an order for Mira Mesa Orchestra gear, including 'hoodie' sweatshirts and zip-up shirts. Sweatshirts are $20 and the zip-ups are $25. All orders are due on or before the November 5th meeting (see below).

VAPA Foundation
We were notified recently that the VAPA Foundation has approved a grant in the amount of $500 to support our Winter Orchestra Concerts! This grant will be used to support our students by making accessible modern works for orchestra, including works by Philip Glass (Company) and Max Richter (On the Nature of Daylight).
For reference, video recordings of those two works have been included below. In addition to the works supported by the VAPA Foundation , we will also be performing Eric Whitacre's setting of Margaret Wise's iconic children's book Goodnight Moon on our December 14th concert.

Our next meeting of orchestra supporters will take place on Monday, November 5th at 6:30 PM in Room 405. We will review the minutes from our October meeting a look forward to upcoming events, including Rehearse-a-Thon, All-State/All-Southern auditions, and our Winter Concerts. See you there!
