November 14 - 18
- Monday, November 14th
- String Coaching - Cello and Bass coaching during class
- Symphony Rehearsal - 4:30 - 6:30 Symphony Orchestra rehearsal
- Trip Meeting - At 6:30 for all students and families involved with the spring performance trip
- Tuesday, November 15th - Concert Orchestra Rehearsal from 4:30 - 6:30
- Wednesday, November 16th - Mentorship opportunity with our Challenger Middle School Orchestra musicians after school
- Thursday, November 17th - Orchestra clinics for all musicians with Professor Moni Simeonov, Director of String Studies at California State University-Long Beach.
- Friday, November 18th - Dudley's Bakery orders arrive in time for the Thanksgiving recess

- Winter Concert Tickets on Sale - Tickets available online at this link, via our Mira Mesa High School Orchestras Facebook page, and at the Mira Mesa High School box office
- String Coaching - Regular string coaching during all classes with our string faculty
- Symphony Rehearsal - Weekly 4:30 - 6:30 Symphony Orchestra rehearsal
- Tuesday, November 29th - Weekly 4:30 - 6:30 Concert Orchestra rehearsal
- Wednesday, November 30th
- All State Applications and Recordings Due - Applications and recordings for the 2017 California All-State Orchestra are due as they must be postmarked by December 1st (links to All-State materials and audition information for any number of other groups are available on on Honor Ensembles page)
- Challenger Mentorship - After school mentorship opportunity number two with our friends in the Challenger Music Department
- Friday, December 2nd - Grades close for the marking period (P2)
Rehearse-a-Thon
Thank you to all of our musicians who made our recent Rehearse-a-Thon a success. Our orchestra musicians worked diligently for seven hours on November 11th. Their efforts were genuinely appreciated!
We also were able to make the event a successful fundraiser for our program, so thank you to all who chose to sponsor a musician for the day.
