Tickets for next week's Spring Concert, "Soundscapes", are now available for current Mira Mesa High School seniors and their families. This early window will run through the beginning of school on Monday morning, at which point the early access period will close.
Seniors were provided an early access code in class on Wednesday, May 14th. The access code is only required while securing tickets online. Tickets are also available during school hours (lunch and 7th period) at the box office here at school.

Break of Reality at Mira Mesa (Rehearsal)

Again, thank you to the musicians of Break of Reality for including Mira Mesa on their national tour. Patrick and the other members of the ensemble had a great time visiting Mira Mesa, and left impressed with our orchestra program and school community.
Special thanks to everyone who helped us host the ensemble: Mr. Kriley and his team of technical theatre students, Mr. Podsiadlo and Ms. Rigby for providing food/hospitality, and everyone who donated concessions/volunteered for the evening concert.

Here is a look at the musical events and activities taking place this week:
Spring Concert (2014), "Soundscapes"
Our annual Spring Orchestra Concert will take place on Thursday, May 22nd at 7:00pm. This year's concert, themed "Soundscapes", will feature a number of programmatic works. Student selections will include a variety of musical selections suiting the theme.
Tickets will be available later this week. Please check back shortly for ticketing information and promotional materials.
Here is a look at the musical events and activities taking place this week:
- Monday, May 12th - Symphony Orchestra rehearsal from 4:30 - 6:30pm.
- Thursday, May 15th - Symphony Orchestra rehearsal from 4:30 - 6:30pm.
- Friday, May 16th - Band Concert at 7:00 pm in the theater (general admission: tickets are $10)
- Saturday, May 17th - Band Concert at 7:00 pm in the theatre (general admission: tickets are $10)
- Monday, May 19th - Orchestra Area Concert in the gymnasium at 6:30pm. Our Period 2 Symphony Strings will be playing at this community event. Light concessions will be available and attendance is free.
- Tuesday, May 20th - Band Area Concert in the gymnasium at 6:30pm. Again, concessions will be available and attendance is free.
- Wednesday, May 21st - Final dress rehearsal for the Aaron Copland symphonic selections from 4:30 - 6:30pm. Our guest oboist, the San Diego Symphony's own Andrea Overturf, will be joining us for the run through.
- Thursday, May 22nd - Our annual Spring Orchestra Concert. The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Call time for all orchestra students is 6:00pm in appropriate concert attire.
