In Case You Missed It -- Student Opportunity
Earlier this year, members of our Mira Mesa High School Orchestras
had the opportunity to participate in a collaborative project courtesy of the California Orchestra Directors Association - CODA.
Musicians from nearly 50 schools participated in the project, working collaboratively with living composers and mentor musicians from the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra.
Here is one sample of work stemming from this project -- Scamper, by Niall Taro Ferguson (b. 1994).
Participating Mira Mesa High School musicians include Annie (Violin), Talisa (Violin), Sofia (Viola), and Sarah (Cello).
Again, kudos to these students for not only their work, but also their willingness to explore new opportunities this year!
