First, thank you to those who have made a donation to the orchestra program in our ongoing Donation Drive. These types of fundraising efforts tend to be successful because individuals and families choose to participate. If you have not yet had the opportunity to join our growing list of supporters, you can easily make a donation online or review the attached letter and form. In contrast to traditional fundraising sales efforts where the program only receives a portion of the total receipts, every dollar donated in this campaign goes directly towards providing quality resources and opportunities for our students. Many employers also will match your charitable contributions. As always, donations are tax-deductible.
Next, San Diego State University's Director of Orchestras, Professor Matthew Rowe, will be visiting Mira Mesa High School on Monday, October 17th. He will be joining the Symphony Orchestra for its regularly scheduled Monday rehearsal.
