Thank you to all our musicians who helped make our first semester a success! A few highlights:

• Fall Cookout Concert on October 5th
• String coaching sessions with our String Faculty
• Orchestra clinic with Professor Moni Simeonov, California State University-Long Beach Director of String Studies
• Musical mentoring at our feeder schools

• Two new commissions for orchestra!
• ​Goodnight, Goodnight (Steven Danyew)
• Cityscape (Ellen Golden)
• Winter Concert featuring two premières
• Benefit Concert for Kennedy Center Ensembles

Notable Dates
Here are few important upcoming dates for our orchestra musicians.

• Monday, January 16th - No Symphony Orchestra Rehearsal (Holiday)
• Tuesday, January 17th - Yearbook Photos during class (in concert attire)
• Wednesday, January 18th - Chamber Music Performance at the San Diego Art Institute (in partnership with Art of Elan)
• Thursday, January 19th - Mira Mesa HS String Quartet performs as a guest at the Challenger Middle School Chamber Music Concert. They will be performing a movement from a Prokofiev String Quartet
  
• Monday, January 23rd - Chamber Music Performance at the Grand Opening of our new Culinary Arts Facility
• Friday, January 27th - End of Semester I
