Auditions & Fall Playing Assessments

News & Notes

• Cherrydale Fundraising - Thank you to all the students and families who elected to participate in the Cherrydale fundraiser. We had very solid participation, and the proceeds will help us continue to provide essential items and experiences for our students (strings, bows, instruments, music, coaching, etc).
  
• Fall Assessments (Auditions) - Fall placement auditions will conclude this week, wrapping up two weeks and nearly 100 individually scheduled auditions. Once our auditions conclude we will distribute our first set of concert music. As a group, I have been (generally) pleased with the level of performance and preparations shown by our students. For many, they are growing more accustomed to regular playing assessments, so the process is not nearly quite as new as it once was.
• Symphony Chamber Performances - Our Symphony Orchestra students will be performing in class on Thursday and Friday this week in small chamber ensembles. Any parents who are free on Thursday morning are welcome to attend if you like (8:33 - 9:29).
• Digital Forms - Nearly all digital forms have been submitted. If you are still looking to submit one of our forms, follow this link to access them.

Online Resources
As the year gets started, please do take the time and browse our website. The site may not be extravagant, but it does have a page for each class (Symphony, Concert, and Debut), as well as a very up to date Google Calendar. The calendar can be 'synched' to any smart device or calendar reader.
