Many thanks to the fine folks at the La Jolla Music Society for providing 30 tickets to the November 6th Czech Philharmonic Orchestra performance. Year after year, the La Jolla Music Society has managed to stay true to their motto, "We Bring the World to San Diego".

In addition to providing tickets to these celebrity orchestra concerts, the La Jolla Music Society has brought a variety of musical ensembles and individual musicians to campus to share their time and talents with our students.

- Monday, November 10th - String Coaching continues; Symphony Orchestra rehearsal will be held, but will be strings only (no winds & percussion)
- Wednesday, November 12th - Bass Class opportunities continue at San Diego State University with San Diego Symphony Principal Bassist Jeremy Kurtz-Harris.
- Friday, November 14th - Combined string orchestra rehearsal for both Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra students. This is the first of only two combined rehearsals scheduled for the Winter Concert combined selection. Rehearsal will be from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. The other rehearsal will be on Friday, December 5th.
- Saturday, November 15th - The Danish String Quartet will be in town. Tickets range from $30-$80 but our students can secure a ticket for only $5. Please see Mr. Mulvaney for details (limit one ticket per student at this price). Thanks again to the La Jolla Music Society for the special offer.
- Monday, November 17th - String Coaching continues; Symphony Orchestra will rehearse from 4:30 - 6:30 PM.
- Wednesday, November 19th - Concert Orchestra will rehearse from 4:30 - 6:30 PM; a Orchestra Parent meeting will follow at 6:30 PM.
- Thursday, November 20th - All Dudley's Bread orders will be in for student pickup.
Orchestra Parent Meeting
Following the Concert Orchestra's regular Wednesday rehearsal there will be a parent meeting at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, November 19th. Parents of all orchestra students are encouraged to attend. We will be discussing a number of items, including the year to date and the upcoming Winter Concert, which will be held on Tuesday, December 9th, at 7:00 PM.
