New Course for 2017-18!
Last year, musicians in our Mira Mesa High School Orchestras were the first in the San Diego Unified School District to earn an Orchestra 5,6 credit. As the result of a successful pilot, we have been provided the opportunity to offer an additional course.
This year, our fourth year seniors in both our Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra will have the ability to earn an Orchestra 7,8 credit. Again, they will lead the way and be the first students in the district to earn this credit.
We have already begun the process of identifying the eligible students and are working with our counseling department to make the necessary changes on behalf of our students.
Many thanks are due to the district's Visual and Performing Arts Department (SDUSD VAPA), and specifically, Ms. Williams, who helped make this possible!
